Re: losing weight after birth while nursingFrom: LeeAnne (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 13 Mar 2002 21:30:13 -0600 (CST)
You can do WW while nursing. They add 10 points to your daily total as long as you are mainly nursing and the baby is under 6 months. Most women find it difficult to eat the minimum with the WW nursing program. They frown on you losing too much, too fast. Looking forward to doing it when I deliver this baby...I had just lost 40 lbs w/ WW and am anxious to keep going...not everyone loses weight while nursing. I always told women they would generally lose while nursing when I was teaching CB classes, but it never held true for me. WW has been medically reviewed and is a good, well balanced program. I would suggest you get info now so you know if you will need a note from your doctor, etc, before you start the program.
