Re: Hubby drink caffeine or alcohol? Success stories?

I'll raise my hand! My hubby and I conceived during a trip to the Carribean during which he smoked and drank alcohol and caffeine. In addition, he is 41, and smoked quite a lot of pot in his 20s.

Just remember, with a perfectly normal couple that times everything right, your chance of conceiving during any one cycle is only 25%. Docs tell couples to expect it to take up to a year to conceive - it's perfectly normal. Of course, it CAN happen much sooner. There's no reason to even think of testing his sperm until you've passed the 1 year mark.

You might want to look at http://www.parentsplace.com - go to the "Boards" page and check out the Trying to Conceive and the Am I pregnant. These boards will allow you to correspond with other women in your situation and get a lot of helpful information. This board here tends to focus more on specific medical questions - the docs haave limited time and generally don't reply to every post. It seems like you could really use the advice and support of a community of TTC-ers!

Good luck!
