Anovulation

Hi,

I've been reading this forum for quite a few weeks now and just wondered if someone could give me a bit of advice. My gyn has advised me that after various blood tests, ultrasounds etc that I have polycystic ovaries. My tubes and uterus are normal and my ovaries are normal in size, however following ovulation induction treatment with firstly clomid, then clomid and metformin and finally injectibles and metformin I failed to respond. Regular ultrasounds did show follices on each ovary but all of them were less than 10mm. I believe that these small follicles could simply be cysts or follicles that have become cysts after failing to mature. My gyn has tested my hormone/oestrogen levels etc but as I am not having periods on my own I believe that the results aren't that acurate. (My period was induced with provera in order to perform the bloods). I am having ovarian drilling in the next couple of months in the hope that this will allow me to resume my period for at least a few months to achieve pregnancy. Drilling will be followed by another lot of injectibles in the hope that my response is adaquate, followed by IUI if I manage to ovulate. We've been trying for a baby for so long now and I'm so confused about conflicting information that I have read about ovarian drilling. Would appreciate any thoughts/experiences (especially successes!!) that anyone may have had with drilling.

Many Thanks Paula
