Is Zoloft safe to take during pregnancy?

I am currently taken 100 mg of Zoloft daily to treat my depression and anxiety disorder. My husband and I are also ttc now. My doctor said that it was safe to take throughout a pregnancy, but the literature I received from the pharmacist on the medication said that the drug should be taken "only if absolutley necessary."

My depresison was never so severe that I suffered from suicidal thoughts, and the panic attacks I expereiced as a part of the generalized anxiety disorder were not pleasant, I think that I would prefer them to the thought of risk to my unborn child from my meds.

Any advice?

Thanks!
