HSG using baloon catheter?From: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 11 Mar 2002 10:55:12 -0600 (CST)
I read from one site that if an HSG is done using a baloon catheter (instead of the traditional tube style? I forgot) the result only gives you information about whether tubes are open; it will not give you any information about uterine cavity. Is this right? And why is it? I had an HSG done and on the x-ray picture my tubes and uterus are clean. But since this was done using a baloon catheter should I think my uterus is also ok? Thanks very much for clearing my mind!
