Would you advise external version?

I am 36 weeks with my second pregnancy. My baby is breech. I am very overweight and also have pre-existing high blood pressure. It has been in the high normal range throughout pregnancy (w/o meds). My ob has discussed the possibility of inducing at 38 or 39 weeks depending on my bp. At my 35 week appointment I found out baby was breech and was advised they would attempt an external version if baby didn't turn on his own and if the version was unsuccessful--to a c section. I've read a lot about external versions but haven't found any information related to if being overweight decreases success of the version or increases the risks. I'm wondering if I'd be better off just having a c section. So basically my question is does weight and high blood pressure affect external versions in any way?

Thank you.
