C-section aftercareFrom: Alicia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 8 Mar 2002 09:14:48 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I just had my first c-section last tuesday. I was released from the hospital last friday, March 1st. When we got home, my husband was unexpectedly forced to go out of town on business. This left me to care for my newborn myself a while trying to recover from the surgery. I have no one who can help. I know it is okay to get up and walk around, but I have had to drive to the doctor to get my staples removed, and drive my baby to her first doctor appointment, and I have a Ford Explorer so it was very hard getting in and out of the car, plus I've had to carry my newborn around in the carseat. I've had to bend up and down alot. I'm up several times a night taking care of her. I have really overdone it. I am worried that since I have done all these things that I might cause my uterus stitches to tear or something. I don't want to rip my uterus incision. Do you think that is possible? I do want more children but I'm afraid I have done some permanant damage. I've had no choice. Thanks Alicia
