Dr. only please- Trisomy 7From: Alicia (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 7 Mar 2002 15:10:53 -0600 (CST)
I just miscarried twins at 9 weeks, second miscarriage at 9 weeks in three months. The Dr. sent the tissue to the pathology lab, and they have determined that there was a Trisomy 7 present that resulted in this miscarriage. What is this, how is it caused, and can it be linked with the previous miscarriage that was not sent to pathology?? What are the chances of a viable pregnancy in the future? I have two older children. These were my husband's first attempts at children, and both times we miscarry. Who is likely to have the chromosomal problems, and can it be repaired medically? My Dr. was open to say he had never heard of this Trisomy 7 himself. Thank you for your professional information. A. Byrd
