Is there really a difference of body's ability to recover after m/c between races?From: Jenny (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 6 Mar 2002 10:54:34 -0600 (CST)
Is there a difference between a western woman's body and an oriental woman's body in terms of recovering from a miscarriage? I have read a lot that medically speaking your body or uterus heals after one or two normal cycle and long waiting period after m/c is mainly due to emotional reason. All my friends and relatives told me to wait for 6 months after my m/c before trying again even if I told them it's not necessary medically; and their rationale is that because I'm oriental (I'm a Chinese living in US) my body is different (not as strong as western women's body due to genetic makeup, race and food structure etc). Does this sound correct and scientific to you? I know that in China most ob/gyn recommend 6 months' waiting period while only a few of them say 3 months is ok. Thanks very much for your idea! It's highly appreciated!
