vegetarians, soy, and fertilityFrom: Spela (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 28 Feb 2002 10:51:15 -0600 (CST)
I did some research on the web, and here are three hits: http://www.ivillage.com/food/experts/hltheat/qas/0,11749,165852_3804,00.html http://www.parentsplace.com/expert/nutritionist/qas/0,10338,240005_112153,00.html http://www.soyonlineservice.co.nz/infert.htm I paased those three URLs to my husband, who looked at them a little, and he says there are two RESEARCH LABS (as opposed to just people repeating what they've heard somewhee else) that claim to have ANY results related to soy. Both labs claim that soy reduces fertility. The lab in New Zealand can't be trusted, because NZ produces lots of meat and they are "threatened" by people eating too much soy... We can't dismiss the Swiss lab, though. However, wouldn't this kind of research results get soon well known among other researchers? After all, the Swiss results were supposedly posted in 1992, which is 10 years ago!
