Glucose Test- Redone?

Hello, I'm 28 weeks. I went to have my glucose test done Monday and I called my drs. office today for the results only to find out that the lab has dropped my tube of blood and was unable to perform the test. My dr. said not to worry about the test, he doesn't think it would be positive but if it's going to worry me then come in today and have it redone. My question is do you think my dr. is being too laid back? Should I really have the test redone? Are there any major problems that could arise if I did have gest. diabetis and didn't know it?

THANKS>
