Well, besides the obvious, that every day you are pregnant increases the odds that the next day will be it...

I have seen women in th emorning and they would be barely a fingertip dilated and the delivered by midnight, and some women walk around 3 cm for weeks. Yes, it means things are close...as in within a few weeks.

Sorry not to be more encouraging...
