Dr. Montgomery, I had a D&C with my first miscarriage, but my 2nd miscarriage was removed by a D&E, according to my doctor. I heard D&C was dilation and curretage and D&E was dilation and evacuation. Why do some doctors use different terms if they are essentially both D&Cs? Just curious. Thanks.
