Secondary infertility?From: Joy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 19 Feb 2002 18:53:58 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I will try to make this as short as possible. I have one child, conceived after three years of trying with no interventions other than a laparoscopy that discovered endo...yet i never went through treatments. We are trying again. Desperately want a second child and not so far spaced apart. It has been six months. I am concerned about going through the same thing all over again. So, I am considering more agressive options, rather than just sitting back over the next few years month after month waiting to see if that was "the month". My question is: I am reading the archives about iui, clomid, etc..and the archives just don't sound very promising. Sounds like going through that never really helps anyway. But, if I have had a pregnancy before...would an iui possibly have an increased success rate? If everything is basically normal, then why would iui fail? It just seems like pregnancy should be easy! yeah, yeah, i know the statistics per cycle... Thanks for your answers, Joy
