Tubaligation Reversal

4 1/2 years ago, I had my tubes tied. My doctor said she used clamps instead of cutting and burning, because of my age, 22 at the time. She said that it would be easier to have it reversed if I decided to do that later on. I was just wondering if I was correctly informed. Is it easier to have the tubal reversed if clamps were used? The way I understood was that the "clamps" were somewhat like hair barrettes (a little unintelligent, i know), but that's how she explained it. I have read that for a lot of women they had to stay in the hospital. Mine was an out-patient pocedure and lasted only about an hour. So, finally, is it possible to have this "clamp" taken off so I am able to concieve again? Or should I just forget about even trying to get a reversal and look into IVF instead? Would I talk to a normal OBGYN or should I find a specialist...and if so, how do I go about doing that? Thank you so much.
