Hcg?Hsg?Hgs? levels high and placenta?From: Allison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 16 Feb 2002 00:40:25 -0600 (CST)
I was told by my nurse that my 16 week test returned a high level of "hgs" or "hsg" hormone, which meant that I would have to be monitered at 32 weeks for the placenta not supporting/nourishing the baby ???. Also that it has nothing to do with the possibility of Downs syndrome in the baby. I called her back because I could not find any information regarding these hormones. She repeated the exact same thing to me. I am confused. Any feedback or clarification would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thank you. Allison
