Is TTC supposed to be this hard??From: angel (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 12 Feb 2002 15:26:54 -0600 (CST)
I’m 24 yrs, hubby is 32. We’ve been ttc for 6 years. The last 4 yrs I've been irrglr-I did a vgnl ultrasnd @ one point because they thought I may have cysts on an ovary. I was normal- the Dr. said I had follicles forming (I was about to ovulate). She tried BC pills-they did not help! I had a period 3 times over the following year. 2 yrs ago, I had given up the idea of a baby (I was too stressed, even forgetting for a year didn't help) I finally decided to see a doctor in Mexico He prescribed Premarin and serofin. Taken religiously, Still no child. What happened was 2 months after I should’ve been pregnant-I had a terrible period, I thought I would die-for 17 days. I seen (USA) dr. again, there was no long term damage, I had to let my body get back to normal- at this point I gave up hope. I figured I was stressed out, but forgetting for the next 2 years didn’t help either-I even tried brainwashing myself into not wanting kids. I have an appt with a new dr. Friday-are there any questions I should be asking? I've decided to start over-the right way. I am going in for a PCE-then we'll take it from there - anyone have any advice? Is there something I am missing? What causes changing frm rglr to irglr? I was irregular as a child after I had intercourse I was regular for 5 years. Do you think I have a hormone deficiency or something? I am so lost-I don't know where to turn. I heard irregularity caused you not to ovulate, true? If so, what can I do?
