30 weeks & increase of painful contractionsFrom: Anon (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 12 Feb 2002 15:22:07 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I'm almost 30 weeks and was wondering if anyone could tell me what it means when the so-called "Painless" braxton hicks are very painful and intensify the farther along I get. I thought I was in labor Friday night because my back hurt just like it did when I was in labor with my first baby. The pain came in waves seemed to last a few minutes. They finally eased off after a few hours. Is this something that I should be concerned about? I have been checked for a uti and my urine was clean. My doctor didn't check my cervix when I went for my checkup yesterday even though I told her everything. I had the feeling she was really rushed. She wasn't in with me for longer than 10 minutes at the most. (It was 5:00, guess she was ready to go home.) Anyone have any ideas? Should I call labor & delivery the next time it happens? This is my second baby. Normal pregnancy & delivery the first time.
