Last Tuesday my OB checked and I was one centimeter dilated. On Thursday I lost my mucous plug and on Friday I was 2-3 centimeters dilated. I haven't really felt any contractions even though a non-stress test picked up on some that I had on Friday. I do feel occasional slight tightening. Has labor started or does it start when I start having stronger contractions? How long could I stay at 2-3 centimeters? I am 37 weeks tomorrow and my OB and perinatal doctor want me to deliver by 38 or 39 weeks because the baby was measuring small. Will lots of rest keep labor at bay or will it just come when it comes?
