Bad news, even though beta hcgs doubled at first, negative hpt this a.m.From: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 8 Feb 2002 10:57:23 -0600 (CST)
I had a bad feeling last night, because my breasts abruptly stopped hurting. I took 2 hpts this am, the Confirm was barely positive, and the EPT an hour later was flat out negative. Even though my urine for the 2nd test was probably dilute, at 20 dpo, I ought to have had a CLEAR POSITIVE. My temp is still high, but last time it didn't drop until the day after the negative test, and then I started bleeding the next day. So I expect to in a couple of days. This will be my 2nd (and maybe 3rd) chemical pregnancy in a row after 18wk fetal demise last April (chemical pregnancies: confirmed by beta 3rd cycle, unconfirmed except by =hpt 5th cycle, and this confirmed by 2 betas in the 9th cycle). I am sick with worry about this, because my 3 children were concieved easily and I've NEVER had a single miscarriage before these. So now I'm worried that something terrible has happened from the fetal demise or the D&E that is preventing me from keeping a pregnancy. (scarring? anti-bodies?) I am just sick about it. I have had all the tests, my husbands has had the tests, and everything is supposedly fine, but how can it be?? And how can 3 in a row just be random? Please ladies — if anyone out there has had 3 chemcial pregnancies in a row, but then finally got pregnant with a good one, PLEASE post and let me know. I am just heartbroken. Doctor's, anything? Do we have a chance??
