I'm 37, nursing an 11 month old, and experiencing hot flashes, night sweats, saddness, and sudden weight gain. I've been obsessively taking my temperature for months and it is always 98.6. I'd like to try "Pro-gest" cream, but the instructions tell me not to use it while nursing. Is there anything else I can do besides weaning my son? Oh, and I have not had my period start-up again, yet, though I am feeling little pangs in the area of my ovaries. Thanks. PS any recommendations for an excellent gynecologist in Portland, OR would be welcom.
