What are the possible reasons for a lack of EWCM?

I learned that Estrogen from follicle stimulates LH surge and makes uterine lining getting thick and makes the cm change quality. My uterine lining is of normal thickness confirmed by ultrasound and EB and I observe LH surge confirmed by OPK. But I haven't had EWCM for more than half year since the D&C last May (so weird is that I had a lot of it before). What I have now is only creamy cervical mucus which is scant and not as much as before. 1. Is this a sign of low estrogen or age? I learned that Estrogen is stimulated by FSH. But my FSH is also normal (4.8 at cd3). 2. Do you think I need to have another bloodwork to check for Estradiol/Estrogen level? 3. If the bloodwork comes out normal and if the D&C wouldn't have this effect as told by a dr on the forum, then what would have caused this lack of EWCM? 4. DH and I both got normal results from all the tests so is the lack of EWCM the reason I'm still not pregnant after 3 months of trying since I could conceive after only one try before? 5. I had a mucus test last August around ovulation and my OB/GYN said it's normal. "Normal" mean he did see the ferning shape of the mucus under the microscope? If so then how can the mucus be of ferning shape without being egg white? Sorry for this many questions but they really worried me! Thanks very much for answering!!
