I am 31.5wks pregnant, on adalat 20mgs q4h since i was 17wks ,when i was admitted to hosp bedrest with preterm labor. i have a cerclage (11wks placed) I will ask doc about this a little later when he comes in for rounds. problem..lately the adalat ..evry now and then hits me hard...flushing ,heart racing, some weakness in the extremities..and now..my left arm and hand starts to feel heavy and sore, even a little in my fingers..sometimes it feels like there is a slight cramp in my heart area....i am confused though...i have been laying here so long..and mostly on my left side...my laptop is positioned on my left, sitting on a bedside table. to type i have to raise up slightly and hold myself up with my left/arm shoulder...thats a lot of weight. i am confused as to whether my pain and discomfort which seems to peak sometimes when the adalat kicks in is cardiac, or muscular. im hardly having contractions anymore at all.my cervix gained length when the baby moved out of the pelvis at 26wks. i am scared to talk my doc this a.m. about this because i don't want to go off of the adalat only to experience labor...i am going home in 3wks and don't want to mess that up either. please help, nicole.
