I had a scan last week due to not knowing my dates due to very irregular periods. Scan found 6 week embryo but only a 5 week gestation sac. They seemed quite worried about it and I have to go back in 2 weeks. Was told sometimes they catch up, or otherwise it would miscarry. Is all hope lost on this pregnancy?

The thought of loosing this and having to start trying again is horrible, I only had 4 periods last year so my chances of getting pregnant are even lower than most ;-(
