Re: 23 weeks pregnant and can't stop worrying -BTDTFrom: Kim (anonymous@obgyn.net)Sat, 2 Feb 2002 11:26:12 -0600 (CST)
Hi Hon, I'm not a doc but I've been (and still am) where you are. I'm 33 weeks w/#3 (#4 PG) and after PTL with #2, and a traumatic miscarriage between #2 and this one, and a mentally rough assisted conception, I've been a basket case for exactly -- 33 weeks! First it was betas, then heartbeat, then IC, then PTL - now that I'm well beyond viability, I've moved on to cord accidents, listeria, abruption, chorio, you name it. I can't offer much advice other than to say I've been there and worrying isn't a "premonition" that something will go wrong. I try to remember this and also that I was scared to death from 26 weeks on w/#2 as we fought PTL, but she arrived safely and perfectly healthy (albeit a few weeks early) and I've had no real troubles this time around, so IT CAN BE DONE. I see a counselor 2x month but honestly, it's not really helping me -- what will help is this baby arriving safely in the next few weeks. Hugs to you for all the stress, A BTDT #3 Mom
