To. trying to conceive; My husband and I tried for one solid year to get pregnant. I gave up on December 29 th 2001 with the onset of my period. We had tried an iui and it failed after months of charting and opk's and a most horrendous rollercoaster ride each month! We said 'thats enought-we can't take anymore of this. I put away my fertilty books, baby books and all signs of ever wanting to be pregnant and then... guess what? My period was due January 25th and it never came. I had a qhcg done and it was 41- two days later 86. So what on earth is this? Now I'm pregnant!!! What a shock- I almost fell off my chair when the doctors office called. I had to apoligize for yelling "you've got to be -------me!? anyways- I guess it can happen when you relax and give up. I thought anyone that said that to me last year was an idiot. Hang in there all who are trying...It can happen when you least expect it!
