In addition to agreeing with what everybody replied below... I'd like
to add that yes, stress can make you late. If you're worried about
being pregnant, then the resulting stress can trigger hormones that mess
up your cycle and delay your period. If you've had negative HPT's just
today, when your period's due, you're probably ok. If you want to be
sure, though, you should probably go to the doc's and get a blood test.
