Docs, somebody posted about forbidden foods of pregnancy while breastfeeding... I knew about feta and sushi, etc. but I'd never heard that you shouldn't eat smoked salmon (other than general cautions about limiting nitrate intake from smoked meats). Is smoked salmon a possible source of bacteria?

(anxious cause I live in the Pacific Northwest and I love it... had a small but scrumptious appetizer of smoked salmon at a restaurant last weekend)
