I missed giving you the date the study was taken: Specimen date (blood sample taken): 23/01/02 LMP: 03/10/01 Received date: 24/01/02 Race: Hispanic/Oriental (my wife's father is hispanic and her mother is japanese) Maternal Age at EDB: 31.4 years Multiple Gestation: No IDDM: No Weight: 64 Kgs Results: AFP: 44.0 ng/mL 1.17 MoM uE3: 1.0 ng/mL 0.40 MoM hCG: 376.9 mIU/L 13.82 MoM Apparently the risk of our baby having DS is 1:10, equivalent to a 49 year old woman. We had our high definition u/s today and everything seemed OK. What are our real chances of having a normal baby? What would you recommend in our case? Lourdes and Juan Jose
