Still spotting at over 8 weeks - is this OK?

I first started spotting at 4w4d; then at 6w1d, I had a sudden gushing of red blood and saw my OB. The U/S showed a 3mm embryo, and we saw a heartbeat. There was blood coming from the implantation area, and I was told my chance of keeping the pregnancy were 50/50. I also have a uterine fibroid not far below the implantation site. The bleeding got lighter after a couple of hours and lasted just over 2 days. My progesterone levwel was tested that week, and was only 8, so I'm on 200mg of Prometrium since then. The following week (at 7w), I had another appopintment on a day I had no bleeding or spotting, and the U/S showed good news - a week's worth of growth (8mm), and a stronger HB. Since that appointment, every 2nd or 3rd day (usually in the morning), I've passed a couple of very dark clots when using the bathroom, followed by some brown spotting for the next day or so. I'm currently at 8w3d. My OB thinks it might still be implantation bleeding, and I see him again next week for another U/S.

Does this length of implantation bleeding make my chances of miscarriage higher? Do I still have a 50/50 chance, or would the odds be better since it's been brown since 6w4d?

Also, several of the bleeding instances have occurred after having sexual dreams, where I wake up cramping. Is this normal?

And my final question is re travel. My husband and I are due to go on vacation in 10 days' time, with a 6 hour flight. Would I be crazy to even contemplate going?
