Gender - Level II ultrasound (3 tries)

I have had 3 level II ultrasounds (in the last 3 months) and one regular ultrasound at 23 weeks and the gender was looked at each time. For the regular ultrasound they said possibly boy, for the first level II they said possibly girl, for the second they couldn't see at all, and for the third they said boy or a girl with masculinized genitals. My question is...how common is it for the gender to be undertermined after all these ultrasounds in a normally developing baby?

Thanks
