It is more common in the dry winter months and usually occurs from dry membranes on the septal portion of our nose. To help this, I ask patients to place a thin film of vaseline on the nasal septum that is easily and comfortably reached with a fingertip. Before doing this however, I like to check a maternal platelet count to make sure that they are not low, which can also happen during pregnancy. Regarding the urinary frequency, you are only getting up once a night-wait, it might get to every hour later in pregnancy. That said, it never hurts to get a urine specimen checked for infection causing the frequency... Lynn
