Re: Endo and trying to conceiveFrom: Joy (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 22 Jan 2002 21:25:55 -0500
I went through the same dillemma a couple of years ago after I was told I had endo. We had been trying for 3 years!!!! I was mortified to think that I might have to shut my ovaries down for 6 months and go into menopause. I was 26 at the time. Well, during my wrestling with this decision FIVE months later---I got pregnant. Never went on the shot. In fact had mild endo that was not removed, so I was feeling pretty hopeless at the time. Had I been on the shot I wouldn't have gotten pregnant when I did. I think what may have happened is the dye may have cleared up any blockages that I might have had. I read that somewhere on the internet. If I were you, I would wait about 6 more months. Give the fact that you had endo removed and the dye through your tubes a chance. If that doesn't work then go for the shot. I hope this helps during this wrestling you are going through. Sincerely, Joy
