Safe to Have Endometrial Biopsy at 8dpo if PG Blood Test Done Morning of ProcedureFrom: Alison (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 16 Jan 2002 16:40:11 -0600 (CST)
Hi, I am scheduled to have an endometrial biopsy at 8dpo. We ttc'd this month, so they are giving me a blood test before to make sure I am not pg. I am concerned that a blood test might not pick up a pg yet at only 8dpo, since it is my understanding that implantation can happen up to 12 dpo. If it is too early, what are the chances that a pg might be lost as a result of the biopsy? The biopsy is part of a workup which is being done for recurrent m/cs (I am 40 with 2 healthy children (4 and 6) and have had 2 m/cs in the past 6 mos. - one at 12 wks after seeing a h/b at 8w6d and one at 7w3 where no fetal pole, only a sac, was seen). Thank you so much for your input. Alison
