NO!!! You CANNOT rely on a urine culture! I had a urine culture and a cervical culture done the same day, the urine culture for a UTI, and the cervical for ureaplasma. The urine culture came back PERFECT, and the cervical culture came back POSITIVE for ureaplasma. Ureaplasma MUST be cultured using a special cervical swab and liquid solution they use to test for clamydia, and mycoplasma. I was tested for ureaplasma and mycoplasma on this one swab, the mycoplasma came back negative. Anyway, it is so difficult to culture ureaplasma by urine culture. I would go back and get tested for it via cervical swab, for if your urine culture comes back perfect i can tell you from personal experience, that you cannot feel secure that you dont have ureaplasma. Good luck and please take my advice!
