I'm so sorry for your family's loss. You might want to repost your question with some more specific information - lots of times the docs aren't able to give an answer because there is not enough information to go on. You might want to include how far along in her pregnancy your sister was, whether she had any other conditions like high blood pressure, whether she has had prior successful pregnancies, what diagnosis, if any, her ob was able to provide, etc etc etc.

Again, my condolences for your tragic loss.
