Not an MD, but personal experience. I have had 3 babies, all term. With 2 pregnacies, I started to dilate at 26 weeks. One pregnancy, I got as far as 6 cms, and bag never bulged out. It did buldge when I was 8 tho. The body has a way of doing some pretty funny things, and this is one of them.
