Hi I'm 36 weeks- 37 tomorrow, some doctors don't check there patient, I think because it can cause a faster labor or dilation- something like that. The crampy feeling your getting are contractions. I get them in my lower abdomin around into my back. If they become regular ( by timing them), you would call your doctor (going iinto labor). But if you are like me I have been having them every 2-4 min it's really hard to tell if they are regular, so they told me to call doctor if they intensify. So if they are regular and intensify these are true signs of labor. Hope this helps.
