i actually have 2 questions to ask. i am just over 10 weeks pregnant and have had very light brown spotting x2 days. an ultrasound yesterday showed the baby to be healthy and active.i am curious as to the possible causes of spotting at this point in pregnancy. my doctor assures me that this may be normal spotting but i'm wondering why (and how)this spotting would occur-especially if the mucus plug is in place. also, i am wondering what the normal range is for fetal heart rate. the u/s showed a heart rate of 176. this seems a bit higher than in my previous pregnancy. thanks for your response.
