I wished I had a better answer for you, but your experience is very unusual. I'll let you have suggested could be possible. More than likely though if you have irregular periods, you had a thickened endometrial lining, and whether related to the Clomid were not, the lining lost its integrity and vascularity, and shed. It may take a couple months to regulate your periods on Clomid, one of the things that I personally due in this situation is used progesterone for 2-3 months prior to using Clomid, in order to normalize the lining of the uterus. It's not always necessary, but in your case the chest may have been "breakthrough bleeding"
