Ann, I know you don't live in the US, but I know that there are several drug companies (Eli Lilly, Pfizer, and Novo Nordisk) around the world working on inhalable insulins, so there are probably many trials underway right now for inhaled insulins. Ask your caregiver to find out if there is an endocrinologist in the area who may be an investigator in one of these trials. It's a longshot, but may be worth looking in to.
