clomid and bleeding

I have very infrequent periods & hormonal tests have been normal. As a result, I was given clomid 50 mg day 3-7. This was my first month and on cd 15, as I woke up from bed I felt a gush of fluid and saw about 2" of bright red blood. This continued very lightly for about 12 hrs, then nothing. I have been taking ovulation predictor tests (clear blue) first thing in the morning since cd10/post clomid day 3 and have not had any indication of ovulation. Could this be ovulation bleeding even though I never tested positive? Could this be hormonal imbalances? Could it be that clomid didn't work for me this cycle? Could it be that I may have ovulated 1 or 2 days post clomid and this is implantation bleeding 1 wk after? I am now day 19- how long should I test for o? If I did not o, could it still be possible that I may have a longer cycle?
