HI Dawn I work in an xray facility where we do the HSG's. Your doctor should have made sure your were not pregnant. Did you have a blood test done? To be honest you only get the radiation for probably less that 10 seconds...only when they shoot the dye in. You do not want the injection of xray dye through your VEINS when you are pregnant, so I don't think the xray dye would travel through your fetus. I had a friend who had a CT scan of her Abdomen AND pelvis which is A LOT more radiation and her baby was perfectly healthy. The facility where you had your exam should have a radiation physicist who can give you your exact dose. The techs right down the amount of time the doctor used the xray machine. It certainly stinks that this happened to you, but I would not worry. I would also ask what the effects would e from shooting the dye in your uterus...probably none, but I would be curious to find out. Good Luck Michelle
