A good friend recently had to have a c-section. She was 5 days past her due date, and went in to have a checkup. They found that she had no amniotic fluid, and the baby was measuring very small for it's age. She did not have any leakage of fluid, it just wasn't there. When the baby was born she weighed 5 lbs 13 oz.

What causes this? Are there any side effects for the baby? Is there a name for this condition??
