Herpes and delivery questionFrom: Ashleigh (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 3 Jan 2002 17:47:43 -0600 (CST)
There have been so many questions on herpes lately I got to thinking (I myself do not have the virus and am not pregnant) and have a question. I have read that a person can transmit herpes to a sexual partner during intercourse even when NOT having an outbreak. If this is correct, then why would a woman not transmit herpes to a baby during vaginaly delivery when NOT having an outbreak? Just curious... Ashleigh
