Thank you for your time. > >-- >bluecrystal For you being 36 weeks along, it is normal for the cervix to be dilated a little bit, like the 1cm you have. You are probably having braxton hicks contractions, meaning your body is preparing you for the real thing. To be in true labor, regular contractions and ones that get stronger and stronger will make cervical change. Also, some babies do not drop till almost the last minute. I have had 3 babies, first one dropped 2 months ahead of due date, 2nd one dropped when I was at 8 cms dilated and 3rd one dropped 2 weeks before due date. Sounds like things are moving along normally. Good luck and congrats!
