Detected LH surge but bbt droped: why? From: Gaitre (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 2 Jan 2002 09:54:46 -0600 (CST)
I detected LH surge in the evening of CD14 (test line as dark as the reference line) and in the evening of CD15 (test line much darker than the reference line)and then in the morning of CD16 my bbt rose up. So I think I ovulated, but why this morning (CD17) when I woke up my bbt dropped 0.1 degree centigrade to 36.8 which is a little bit under the coverline. What's the reason for the bbt drop since nothing changed? Did I actually ovulate? Or might it be a bad ovulation with low progesterone level so the bbt dropped? Will my bbt rise up again tomorrow? What would be the reasons if you get LH surge but no ovulation? I used to have postovulation bbt above coverline every day (37.0 or 37.2 or lowest 36.9). Do I still have hope that I might get pregnant this cycle? Thanks very much for your help!
