UTI with enterobacterFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 31 Dec 2001 15:55:02 -0600 (CST)
I took Macrobid and even though it showed susceptible, it didn't work. The organism that I have in my urinary tract is Enterobacter. So, now after the urologist looked at it under the microscope, he said it looked worse than before. So, now they prescribed Ceftin. Should this work???? I am afraid that this is going on so long, that I am harming the baby, (I am 15 weeks). Am I doing the right thing???? Or is there something else I could be doing? The problem is that i can only take category B drugs, and they don't seem to be the drug of choice for this pathogen. I feel like everything is trial and error, and I am wasting time... Thanks,
