It wold be good to at least have a telephone contact with docs there...for you and baby if needed. ALso, you will need to arrange trip around the baby's second PKU. Nursing on takeoff/landing can help the ears. Weather wise...well, baby should be OK with dressing up or down with the temperature. After all, there are babies in Texas, too. (I have had seven of them!) Also, I understand the ideal but sometimes family and situations such as this can necesitate flexibility and working around the ideal, which would normally be to not travel.
