Is diastasis painful?

I'm 14.5 weeks and about 1 inch right of my navel, I'm getting a pinching, on-going pain, sometimes very bad. I think the spot may feel a little firmer than the rest of the belly. The pain is very near the surface, and I can touch it. It's definitely not deep inside. Could this be diastasis or something related? Can I do anything for it?
